Kathleen Sprunger manages a portfolio of ORCA initiatives designed to foster and build capacity for research and creative activities at UCLA. As part of these research development activities, she manages the suite of ORCA internal funding programs and offers strategic guidance to other units on the creation of internal funding mechanisms. In addition, Kathleen manages ongoing efforts to expand resources for finding and securing grant funding, including information sessions on UCLA resources, workshops on grant writing, and online resources for UCLA researchers. She also frequently collaborates with other UCLA offices on strategic projects aimed at increasing capacity for research and creative activities. Kathleen has a background in higher education administration that previously focused on funding opportunities and graduate education.
